Addition & Subtraction: Strengthening basic operations and understanding their relationship. Multiplication & Division: Mastering times tables and division facts. Fractions & Decimals: Understanding parts of a whole and converting between fractions and decimals. Problem-Solving Strategies: Applying math concepts to real-world problems. Word Problems: Developing strategies for understanding and solving word problems. Topics covered will vary depending on student grade level.

Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Texas Tech University
I am a graduate of the Texas Tech University College of Education, holding a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Education. I am a certified teacher for Early Childhood through Sixth Grade (EC-6) and possess experience in public school settings, having taught grades 1 and 2, as well as 3rd and 5th grades (mathematics). Additionally, I have served as a dedicated substitute teacher in many subject/ grade level areas. I am certified in English as a Second Language (ESL), Science of Teacher Reading (STR), and Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities (PPR).
My teaching philosophy revolves around fostering student confidence and instilling the belief that they can tackle challenging tasks. I am passionate about empowering children to develop a resilient mindset and an "I can do hard things" attitude.Reviews
