The purpose of this course is to help students discover their Overall Working Math Level and to determine their strengths in Six Strands of Elementary School Mathematical concepts, including Geometry Algebraic Thinking Numbers and Operations Fractions Measurement Probability and Statistics Join me for the Most Important Course and we will discover your strengths and your math needs. Confidence will begin to soar as a result of focusing on those areas in math that seem to slow progress...
The goal of this course is to establish a student's math working level and to reveal strengths, and possible gaps in learning, allowing parents to have an informed understanding of how their student should move forward in the sequential discipline of mathematics. The natural result of this course will be increased confidence in mathematics by the student. That alone can carry the student learner far!
15-20 minutes a day for one week.
Paper and Pencil Subscription for IXL will be provided by the teacher with no cost to the student.
The student will see the results of their work revealing their overall working math score, as well as their scores in 6 math strands listed above.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
IXL math will be used for practice. The teacher will provide what is needed with no additional cost for students.
