Students will gain first hand experience in using manners in a fun and interactive way. Students will gain valuable life skills that will help them both socially and economically. No background knowledge is required. Students will learn and interact while practicing using their manners. Students will each have a chance to use their manners within this class. Students will also brain storm as a collective to see if they are able to identify when and where to use their manners. There will be no written homework for this class. There will be homework to practice at home once you have completed the class. I will provide a poster which can be printed, some examples of when and where to utilize your skills, and ideas for practicing mindfulness when out in your daily lives. Learners will be evaluated in class when interacting with students and teacher.

I am a social worker and Child and Youth worker currently working in Education. One of the areas of concern many families feel is how do I get my child to use their manners, how can they become more cognisent of their peers emotions, and when it is important to use their manners. I can help your child learn to practice using their manners with their peer group. This is an effective manner of learning a new skill set. It is easier to use your manners with your parents when roles are established but how do they take what they have learnt and apply it in their peer group? Practice! My experience working with youth is that practicing life skills daily with peer groups is the most impacting learning technique.Reviews
