Class Experience

I will teach about proper etiquette on the internet, using an illustrated slide show. The etiquette points will center around:
1) Why do people often say things online that they wouldn't say to a person face to face?
2) What is cyber bullying? What do you do when you see cyber bullying, or are a target of it?
3) Your digital footprint can be permanent.
I use an interactive teaching style, including students in on the discussion as much as possible. After systematically going through the material, I go through a review. Then, we go through several scenarios to practice the information, and make sure that students have a solid understanding.

Parental Guidance
Topics like cyber bullying can be difficult for some students to talk about. Parents should check in with their child after the class, to see if there are any further questions or topics to discuss.
