This course covers major areas of mammalogy in some depth including the evolution of diversity, cladistics, behavioural ecology, and conservation. Class time will provide students with an understanding of mammalian characteristics, evolutionary relationships, species identification, and natural history. The specific learning goals for Mammalogy are to provide students with a working knowledge of fundamental principles in mammalogy while also bringing them entertainment through a unique form of instruction.
With nearly thirteen years of experience in the zoo and aquarium community, Oliver has a wealth of practical knowledge to help learners succeed in their career goals. Oliver has helped with projects around the world from rehabilitating injured seabirds in South Africa to tracking tigers in central India.
