Description
Class Experience
The diversity of aquatic and semi-aquatic creatures is incredible. From the elegance of the blanket octopus to the strong venom of the box jelly these creatures are ready to shock you with their amazing adaptations. Two aquatic (or semi-aquatic) animals take the spotlight in each of these weekly, fact-filled lessons. The animals will include a variety of invertebrates, mammals, fish, reptiles, amphibians and seabirds. There are twenty-two classes of two creatures each before the sessions...
This class is taught in English.
Learners will learn many things such as behaviour, diet, and fascinating facts about two aquatic/semi-aquatic species per week.
I have a strong passion for animals and have even worked in a large aquarium with creatures such as stingrays, jellyfish and many fish species. I love getting others excited about the animal kingdom and feel as though I can approach this topic with a lot of fun and excitement for the learners.
I will provide an (optional) handout that students can use for note taking if they would like to.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
