Description

Class Experience

Students will practice, review and discuss the appropriate 4th grade Math skills as listed in the description.
Having left the corporate world, where I mentored and taught personnel, I began teaching and tutoring elementary and middle school students in every subject with a focus upon Math. My specialty in teaching is making things simpler. No matter the Math or Language Arts, I seek to make it easier for the student to learn and succeed. Besides having been teacher certified by our state, I am also TESL certified through two companies. For the last five-plus years I have been online or face-to-face tutoring Math and Language Arts to elementary and middle school students. In that span I have taught over 3,000 lessons. Positive encouragement and creating opportunities for student success are driving forces in my classroom. I purchased the elementary school-level textbooks with the Common Core curriculum and draw from them for my classes.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Assessment will occur as students participate verbally and in writing as we solve the Math.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Common Core standards, Go Math, & Big Ideas Math
