Make Your Own Balloon Animals - Beginners
Class experience
Hello and welcome to Balloon Twisting for Beginners. What can be more fun and exciting than making your own balloon animals! I twist balloons, face paint and perform magic shows professionally. And I can tell you this. The line for balloon art is always the longest. This class does not required any special skills or experience. We will first learn how to inflate and tie the balloons. Of course if you don't tie them they just fly all over the place. And that's a lot of fun too. But...
I've been making balloons professionally for 26 years. I run my own business and twist at private parties and public events. I've even worked for a number of foreign embassies and many schools. I was also a public school teacher in New York and Baltimore where I developed the teaching methods I use in class.
Homework Offered
Homework is a great idea once basic skills are obtained. It is important that students are guided through learning these skills at this level. The reason is that a student can develop difficult habits. And that will lead to frustration and loss of interest. I need to be able to supervise until they are ready to twist on their own.Assessments Offered

We'll need a balloon pump and at least one bag of good quality 260's. The number 260 corresponds to the size of the balloon. I strongly recommend that you avoid pumps and balloons that are low quality. It will make working with them very difficult. Pumps can be handheld, floor pump (stands on the floor) or electronic. Here is a site where you can find them. *Please ask me before buying if you're not sure which ones to get. Twisting balloons is a specialized skill that requires dexterity and finger strength. This will develop with practice much like playing a musical instrument. And it is important that we don't push too hard and take a break if our hands are getting too tired.
