The long essay question (LEQ) requires students to establish a thesis and then support it with evidence, analysis, and synthesis. While writing the LEQ students will need to consider comparison, causation, periodization, or change over time. All evidence for the LEQ will come from the student's knowledge of the material as no documents will be provided.
