This is a an engaging 6 week course where students will gain a better understanding of themselves and others. Topics to be covered in this class include; understanding personal values, character education, defining success, 6 steps of decision making process and SMART goal setting. I have a Family and Consumer Sciences teaching credential. I have been teaching personal development to teens for over the past 10 years.
Each week there will be an activity or assignment for students to complete. These activities and assignments are designed to show the learner's understanding of the lesson presented.
Students may want art supplies such as construction paper, colored pens and/or pencils to complete their who are you project, decision making comic strip, and vision board. Additionally students may want to take notes and complete written assignments in a notebook or on paper. All projects and assignments may be done digitally as well.
Feedback will be given for all work submitted each week.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
