Get your child excited about reading while reviewing comprehension skills using fun and engaging picture books! This class will be well structured and routine. We will listen to the story Library Lion by Michelle Knudsen. I will use Google Slides with visuals to guide users through the lesson. There will be worksheets provided so learners can follow along and complete the assignments to show their understanding after learning the skills and discussing their ideas with their peers. Students will improve their understanding of how to sequence a story by determining the important events. They will understand and create alliterations.
Homework is informal and will be decided upon based on the learners in the group.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learners will be informally assessed, by answering questions and completing the assignments during class.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
www.storylineonline.net will be used to listen to the story.
