Learners will be able to:

- 1 popsicle stick or wooden coffee stirrer (to sculpt clay)
- beads, dried kidney/black/white beans (for mouth)
- other art materials such as: feathers, pipe cleaners or sequins)
- household items such as: pieces of a drinking straw*, raw pasta or buttons)
- a container to hold all supplies**
- a plate or clean surface on which to work

*Adults please pre-cut any pipe cleaners or straws to be 1-2" in length)

**I got my tin organizer (6 section muffin tin) at the dollar store.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
While this is a participation-based class, I understand that some students may not take as much of an active role in the discussion. I understand this does not mean they aren't actively engaged. There is no formal assessment, but students will be encouraged to take part in the discussion as much as they are willing and share their sculpture with the class.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Play-Doh may contain wheat, which could cause an allergic reaction if ingested in those sensitive to wheat gluten or with Celiac disease.

Prior Experience:
None needed. Come ready to have fun, experiment with art supplies and take part in a positive artistic community.
Learners and their families may enjoy getting ready for class by reading their favorite fall or Halloween book(s) together.
