Join the fun! Dress up a pumpkin (real or not) as your favorite book character and have fun showing and telling all the learners about it! Let's see the pumpkin character lineup and hear about them! Wear your Halloween costume to class!

Can you spot a favorite character in the class picture?!? Have fun creating your pumpkin character at home and bring it to class for show & tell! This is a one-time class in a small group setting. Learners will practice listening and speaking skills as they enjoy a fun and predictable Halloween story titled "There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Bat" by Lucille Colandro. We will briefly discuss the story, and then, we will start our pumpkin show-and-tell. Students will have their decorated pumpkin ready to show and talk about it. They will practice their speaking skills as they tell us about their pumpkin character, why they chose that character, and what they want to do for Halloween. This will be a fun and interactive class, AND learners can wear their Halloween costume if they want. Wearing a costume is optional. Please keep the age group in mind, and keep costumes friendly and not too scary. I cannot wait to see the fun and creative pumpkin characters students will bring to class! Loads of fun, fun, fun! You can always message me if you have any questions. The pumpkin can be real or artificial. This activity promotes family time as you decorate the pumpkin as a family and get the pumpkin ready for show time. Since I always encourage reading, I love it when I see pumpkins that were decorated as a book character and families enjoyed a good book before decorating their pumpkin. My goal is to always promote books and reading! Have fun as a family, and I can't wait to see your learner in class! NOTE TO PARENTS CLASS CANCELLATIONS: If a class has not met the minimum number of enrollments, it is subject to being canceled. I will notify you and will offer a transfer to another day and time or a full refund if the class is canceled.

Supply List
Learners will need to bring their decorated pumpkin ready to present it to other learners and teacher in class. Supplies used to decorate pumpkin will be decided by the parent(s) and learner. Have fun decorating your pumpkin! I have seen artificial pumpkins work great for this activity.
