In this two-week Science Club, we will explore forces, make pulleys, gears, test out magnets, make a Rube Goldberg machine, discover friction and elasticity, and much more! This course includes STEM activities. Each week will include a range of activities that are designed to engage the learners in both a hands-on and minds-on way. Each week will include experiments, Q&A, quizzes, games, worksheets, songs, videos and much more. Learners will be encouraged to observe, explore, question and share what they learn. A variety of methods are used to support learners and cater for different learning styles and needs. Learners will be required to: βοΈUse household objects to complete the experiment βοΈUpload photos of their experiments to the classroom βοΈReport their findings βοΈComment on other learner work βοΈUpload copies of the worksheets βοΈComplete a challenge in the classroom together What is taught in this course? Fabulous Forces Day 1 - Pulleys Day 2 - Levers Day 3 - Magnets Day 4 - Machines Day 5 - Friction Day 6 - Elasticity All materials are posted in the classroom at 7pm PST on Sunday each week. Supply List
Learners will need paper, pen, pencil and crayons for each class. Some classes may require things to be cut out before the class and for learners to bring glue to class with them. Some classes involve a simple experiment. The required materials will be posted to the classroom. Please print out or download the relevant handouts in advance of each class. These will be uploaded to the 'Classroom' by Monday each week.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
