Let's Learn About the Principles of Art and Create a Castle!

During this 5 day class, students will be taught how to create their very own castle drawing and learn about castles built throughout history. We will also discuss the principles of design (Harmony, Unity, Pattern, Variety, Emphasis, Scale, Contrast, Balance) and display an example of each principle in the castle rooms. We will learn how to make dragons, kings, queens, knights and much more! 

This project will last 5 days, here is the breakdown:
Day 1 - Learn about Castles! Build the frame and add the rooms to your castle. 
Day 2 - Learn about the Principles of Design (Pattern, Variety, Contrast) and add an example in 3 of your rooms.
Day 3 - Learn about the Principles of Design (Harmony, Emphasis, Scale) and add an example in 3 of your rooms.
Day 4 - Learn about the Principles of Design (Balance, Unity) and add an example in 2 of your rooms.
Day 5 - Finalize and Color your Drawing! Color your artwork using your choice of markers, crayons, watercolor or colored pencils.
