Let's Learn About the Alphabet! (Letters A-Z)

This 10 week flexible class is taught using pre-recorded lessons, 2-4 weekly. I will also provide a slideshow for each letter that includes a YouTube video that introduces the uppercase and lowercase letter, the sound(s), examples of words that start with the letter of the week, the worksheets for the letter, and a fun movement video. There will be 2-5 interactive posts each week, where students will post and interact with each other in the classroom. For example, students will post a picture of their show & tell which will be an item from their house that starts will the letter of the week. If students would like, they can send me their tracing and printing worksheets to receive feedback, but this is optional. 

How will students interact? Students will post a picture of their show & tell which will be an item from their house that starts will the letter of the week. Students are encouraged to comment on at least one students picture. Students will also post pictures of their coloring pages to share with the class. Again, students are encouraged to comment on at least one students pictures. Also, I will post a question each week for students to answer such as "What is your favorite animal, color, food, etc" to help us all get to know each other. 

Week 1- Week 1 will focus on letters A, B, & C. Students will review the slideshow provided in the classroom. Then, they will practice tracing, printing, and coloring using the worksheets provided in the classroom. Students will also post a picture of their show & tell for each letter and comment on other students pictures as well as participate in the other interactive posts.

Week 2- Week 2 will focus on letters D, E, & F. Students will review the slideshow provided in the classroom. Then, they will practice tracing, printing, and coloring using the worksheets provided in the classroom. Students will also post a picture of their show & tell for each letter and comment on other students pictures as well as participate in the other interactive posts.

Week 3- Week 3 will focus on letters G, H, & I. Students will review the slideshow provided in the classroom. Then, they will practice tracing, printing, and coloring using the worksheets provided in the classroom. Students will also post a picture of their show & tell for each letter and comment on other students pictures as well as participate in the other interactive posts.

Week 4- Week 4 will focus on letters J, K, & L. Students will review the slideshow provided in the classroom. Then, they will practice tracing, printing, and coloring using the worksheets provided in the classroom. Students will also post a picture of their show & tell for each letter and comment on other students pictures as well as participate in the other interactive posts.

Week 5- Week 5 will focus on letters M, N, & O. Students will review the slideshow provided in the classroom. Then, they will practice tracing, printing, and coloring using the worksheets provided in the classroom. Students will also post a picture of their show & tell for each letter and comment on other students pictures as well as participate in the other interactive posts.

Week 6- Week 6 will focus on letters P, Q, & R. Students will review the slideshow provided in the classroom. Then, they will practice tracing, printing, and coloring using the worksheets provided in the classroom. Students will also post a picture of their show & tell for each letter and comment on other students pictures as well as participate in the other interactive posts.

Week 7- Week 7 will focus on letters S, T, & U. Students will review the slideshow provided in the classroom. Then, they will practice tracing, printing, and coloring using the worksheets provided in the classroom. Students will also post a picture of their show & tell for each letter and comment on other students pictures as well as participate in the other interactive posts.

Week 8- Week 8 will focus on letters V, W, & X. Students will review the slideshow provided in the classroom. Then, they will practice tracing, printing, and coloring using the worksheets provided in the classroom. Students will also post a picture of their show & tell for each letter and comment on other students pictures as well as participate in the other interactive posts.

Week 9- Week 9 will focus on letters Y & Z. Students will review the slideshow provided in the classroom. Then, they will practice tracing, printing, and coloring using the worksheets provided in the classroom. Students will also post a picture of their show & tell for each letter and comment on other students pictures as well as participate in the other interactive posts.

Week 10- Week 10 will focus on reviewing what has been taught throughout the course. Students will complete matching, color by letter, and other worksheets to review the alphabet. Students will also pick their favorite letter of the alphabet to complete an art project on to share with the class. Students will need to inform me of what letter they are picking, so I can provide an art/project packet for them to complete. They will post a picture or video of the final product. They will also post a picture of their show & tell for that letter. Students will participate in an interactive post to share their favorite part of class with the other students and myself. 

I will offer a 15 minute live course option on Saturday's for those who need extra help. This will need to be scheduled by messaging me. Please note that the earlier you message me the more likely you are to get your preferred time. Private feedback on the students work can be provided upon request. Also, I am happy to provide additional worksheets for extra practice upon request. I will also provide various videos of myself teaching. Extra videos can be requested by the parent. 

As a teacher, I strive to make learning fun and exciting for learners. I feel that it's my job as a teacher to meet each student where they are at and to adapt my teaching style to help them learn best. I like to use multiple modes of instruction, such as video lessons, music/movement videos, and discussion posts.

* Students should have some basic knowledge of the alphabet and using writing materials. Parents/guardians may need to provide assistance to the students while they are completing their class assignments.
