Class Experience

Welcome to class! Each week we will learn to draw two new Squishmallows. With over 1,000 Squishmallows to choose from, there is sure to be something for everyone. Each month will have a theme, and the Squishmallows for each week are listed below.

Class will follow a predictable format each week. After a brief opportunity to show completed work from the prior week, instructor will introduce the Squishmallows of the day through discussion and/or slides. We will spend the remainder of the class working to create our drawings. Teacher will demonstrate the drawings steps on camera for students to follow. If time remains after completing our drawings, students are welcome to color and embellish their work as desired.

Though students will be muted during class, they are welcome to ask questions at any time by raising their hands. We will work together and proceed through the drawing steps as everyone is ready.

This is an ongoing class. Learners are free to join and withdraw from class at any time.

No prior drawing experience is required.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Erin Covey, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to get to know your kids. I have homeschooled my own wonderful kids since 2014. I will be teaching cooking, baking, nature study, and book clubs.

I am an avid lifelong learner, fortunate enough to have inherited this trait from my wonderful grandfather who, although he never attended college, could tell you anything you would ever want to know about the stars and the planets.

Because of my broad interests, I have had a variety of education and experiences. These include earning a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Washington, becoming a certified master food preserver and teaching soap making.

If I could meet anyone it would be Laura Ingalls Wilder. I am inspired by the simplicity and wisdom in her books, and I agree with her philosophy that it is the sweet, simple things in life that matter most. I enjoy canning, soap making, baking, gardening, and spending time in nature.

I seek to cultivate these values of simplicity, wisdom and a love of learning in my homeschool as well as here on Outschool.
