Increase writing confidence and their desire to craft a story. Understand basics of the 7 Elements of Creative Writing (character, plot, setting, point of view, style, theme, and literary devices) Write with a focus on the element of setting. Other elements will be taught in future classes. Support classmates in positivity, and appreciating all attempts at the creative process, both with builds and writing.

Please print the above two handouts before class begins, if possible. -Pencil(s) with a good eraser, and something to color with like crayons, colored pencils, etc. -Your own, personal LEGO® brick collection (enough for a small build).
