Bring your art supplies and dress to get messy! In this class, we will create a charming owl painting. The teacher will demonstrate how to complete this project step-by-step in class and troubleshoot issues as they arise. No painting experience is necessary. We will learn about the proper care of our art supplies, basic brush strokes, and how to mix and blend colors. We will learn some facts about owls too!

Supplies needed: Acrylic Paint Set of Basic Colors: White, Black, Red, Blue, Yellow, Pink, Blue, Green, Purple, Brown, and Orange (If you want it to look like the example owl, try to get turquoise paint too) 8" x 10" Canvas or Canvas Panel Board Small liner paintbrush 5/0 Small Flat paintbrush 6 Medium Flat paintbrush 3/4 Carbon/graphite tracing paper A cup of water, towel, paper towels, a paper plate, a hairdryer and baby wipes are helpful.

Hello! My name is Danyel and I am very excited to teach your child! I teach painting, digital graphics, animation, art, photography, the Adobe Creative Suite, and English as a second language. I have taught students in Pre-K to 12th grade, as well as college and adult students.
I am an experienced professional that has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication Design from Texas State University and a Master of Education degree from Texas A&M. I have 15 years of experience teaching children in grades PreK-12 in public and private schools. I also served as the Principal of an international school in Germany for 5 years and have 3 years of online teaching experience.
I love to teach children and encourage them to be creative. I am a culturally responsive teacher, who is intrigued by other cultures and learning styles! I am American but have lived in Germany for the last 8 years because I am a military spouse. I have traveled to 26 countries and enjoy meeting new people everywhere that I go.
My goal as an Outschool teacher is to use my experience to make learning a fun and positive experience for your child. I look forward to seeing your child in my classroom!
