One on One Basics of Pixel Art: Art Like a Video Game

Pixel art is a unique form of low-resolution (small) digital art that uses only little squares called pixels to create images. Just like in video games! In this class, we'll explore the basics of pixel art and learn how to create art using only pixels.

During the class, we'll explore the basics of pixel art and discuss the different types of pixel art that exist. We'll also explore the tools that you need to create pixel art, specifically the free website, pixilart.com. Then, we'll move on to the different techniques that you can use to create pixel art, including shading, coloring, and using different shapes and textures.

As we progress, we'll learn how to create different types of pixel art, including characters, objects, and backgrounds. We'll also discuss how to animate your pixel art creations and explore different animation techniques.

This class is perfect for anyone who wants to learn how to create beautiful pixel art, even if you’re a beginner. I am a very patient teacher and I will check in with each student from time to time and have them share their screen to see their progress. By the end of the class, you'll have the skills and knowledge you need to create stunning pixel art that you can share with the world.
