Class Experience

This course is design to teach students how to write Graffiti letters and blending them together to create their name. Students will be introduce to 2 or 3 styles of Graffiti and will choose which one they will use as part of their project. I will  interact with students through out the entire class to guide them step by step through the process. Experience is not needed to take this course. I hope  that every student will have a fun and exciting experience in learning how to create their name in Graffiti and share it with family and friends.

Learning Goals

Students will be able to  be more creative with their new art skills in the Graffiti letter style design.

Either Color markers, color pencils or Crayons. All are welcome
Sketch Pad or blank sheet of paper, which ever works

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I'm Gilbert and  teach Elementary Education and Art. I have over 9 years in teaching and tutoring from grades K-8. Through out my 9 years of teaching I have worked with many groups of students from from entire classrooms to small groups and one-on-one. I've worked  with General Education and Special Education students both, along with students who were in the ESL(English as a Second Language) program. 

I believe each student to be unique and require all necessary  components ( teacher, student, parents & resources) to come together for the main goal of the students success. I use multiple  methods of teaching including but not limited to Visual methods  that include: videos, articles, worksheets, text and participation. Allowing the student to participate and making a fun learning environment allows me to engage the student into the lesson which then makes learning much more desirable for them. 
I enjoy playing darts, I completed Cosmetology school and I cut my own hair.
