*What we will learn: How to Draw an Elephant. Focus on creating an accurate line drawing from selected research. Achieving texture with color pencils! *Topic: This class is a one-time class that is part of the cycle of classes dedicated to drawing animals that we love - Animal World Art Classes! Let's combine our passions for animals and drawing! *Class structure: 1. How to divide research - an image - into primitive geometrical shapes - Square, oval, and rectangular! 2. Drawing linear drawing with guides from primitive geometrical shapes 3. Seeing colors and texture - Black, Grey + a bit of red! ***Teaching style: I will adapt my teaching style towards the needs of the student! Every child comes to the class with a different background and skills and I will take that into consideration and focus on what I believe will provide each student with the most growth per class. I want my students to feel excited and feel free to express their creative side in a non-pressure environment which I believe every art class should be!
Learning Goals
Practice analytical drawing and creating different values with one color pencil ( grey ) in order to achieve the 3dmensionality of the image!Other Details

-Paper -Color Pencils - black and grey! Maybe a bit of red to spice it up! -Eraser - just in case we need it! -Pencil Sharpener - caring for your tools - color pencils is important!

I am an artist and a designer with an MFA from Northwestern University.
During my studies, I had the opportunity to teach on an undergraduate level and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I work in the film and theatre industry as a set designer and I love to create new worlds inspired by stories!
For me drawing is a powerful tool of communication and I believe that learning how to express imagination through visual language can help develop new creative ideas and solutions for any type of work, not just design.
I am excited to meet you and see how your personality reflects in your creations!
