Description
Class Experience
The students will be able to identify several positive coping strategies that may work for them during stressful times.
My passion is child development and I feel a personal commitment to assisting young people and helping them grow strong. I have personally witnessed so many young people struggle with handling difficult situations appropriately and turning to unhealthy means of coping. I believe the conversation about this needs to start when they are young. I have worked professionally with children for 15+ years and I have Master's Degree in Counseling.
The Coping Skills Unicorn Coloring page will be provided. Each student will need a printer, printer paper, and colored pencils or crayon in the following colors: pink, yellow, purple, orange, green and blue. Markers can be used, but I have concerns about markers making the printer ink bleed.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
I encourage parents to review their student's coloring page and ask them what they learned in class.
