Pinyin is a very important tool to help beginning level learners to learn Chinese. So, we will learn 30-50 basic Chinese vocabulary items by using Pinyin in 6 classes.

In the six classes course, we will learn 30-50 basic Chinese vocabulary items and some simple sentences through games and activities. Tentative Schedule: Lesson 1: Numbers in Chinese. Students are able to say 0-10 in Chinese correctly and recognize the shape of each Chinese character. Lesson 2-3: Colors in Chinese. Lesson 2, we will learn basic colors, such as red, blue, yellow, green, black, white. Lesson 3, we will learn more color through a song. Also, students will learn some phrases from the song. Lesson 4-5: Animals in Chinese. We will learn around 12 vocabulary items around a zoo tour, and know Chinese 12 zodiacs. Lesson 6: Review. We will go over the vocabulary items we learned in the class through a story. And students are able to recognize all items and greeting in Chinese.
