Class experience
During this ongoing summer camp, we’ll meet 3 times a week to get ready for kindergarten by learning and reviewing the letters of the alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes, and more. We’ll practice writing our names, learn about classroom routines, read classic stories and nursery rhymes, make comparisons, practice counting, learn about different kinds of animals, and explore our world together. To help prepare for kindergarten, students will learn about: Letters, numbers, colors, shapes Literacy Skills Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, and Basic Life Skills
Homework Offered
There will be extra printable activities that can be done outside of class, if desired. These are completely optional, but can be helpful in providing an assessment of the child's progress in the class.Assessments Offered

For this class you will need the following supplies: Crayons Markers White glue Glue sticks Child-safe blunt scissors Construction paper Printer paper Paper plates Beads Buttons Washable tempera or finger paints, in different colors Watercolor paint set Paintbrushes Page protectors Dry Erase Markers Small white board Index cards Stickers Pipe cleaners Pom poms Play-Doh, in several different colors
Parental supervision is encouraged as we will be using scissors to practice fine motor skills in class. Please make sure your learner has a table or desk surface to sit at comfortably for writing activities, as well as a nearby wide, open space for music and movement activities.
We will refer to classic stories, such as fairy tales and nursery rhymes to enhance the learning experience. All the material will be contained in colorful slides I have created. I will also send out weekly PDF materials that can be printed and used in class.
