US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In this class the child will learn ABC's and letter sounds. They will learn numbers 1-20. In addition they will be learning shapes and colors. This is an ongoing class. We will be having class for 26 weeks. Each class is 25 minutes long. We will meet once each week. Each week a new letter and number will be discussed. Also each week will have a new shape and color or will be a review of previous shapes and colors. I believe children should have fun learning. I incorporate my snowman Snowy in each lesson to enhance the learning. We will play games and sing songs in addition to Snowy's special mailbox surprises. The child does not need to have prior knowledge of the concepts as we will be introducing and expanding on them in each lesson.
Learning Goals
Students will learn to recognize letters, numbers 1-20, letter sounds, shapes and colors.

Hello and welcome to my profile! I have been a teacher with Outschool since 2020. I enjoy teaching students of all ages. Some of my specialties include preparing Pre-K children for Kindergarten both academically as well as socially. I also enjoy teaching ESL to students from all over the world. I enjoy making learning fun. My snowman Snowy engages the students each week with his mail that he sends to the children. Snowy is just one of the unique ways we have fun in class while learning. I truly believe that children need to have fun while learning in order for the concept to really sink in and be understood.
I graduated from UNCW with a Bachelor's Degree in English. After college I started my teaching career as a high school English teacher. I left the profession to raise my four children. I decided to return to my career and have enjoyed teaching many years as a Pre-K teacher.
I am also an online ESL ( English as a Second Language) teacher with VIPKid. I enjoy getting to know my students both in the United States and all over the world!
I love snow! This is something that the kids always seem to really enjoy. I love hearing the children laugh and seeing those precious smiles while we enjoy learning together. My husband and children love to travel. We enjoy camping all over the USA. I also have a black lab named Snowflake and a cat named Chloe. I hope to see your child in class soon!Reviews
