Description
Class Experience
Students will learn how to create a delicious Chicken Tikka Masala
Ingredients • Ghee (avocado or olive oil work as well • 1 onion • Garlic – fresh or minced • Cumin • salt • ginger powder or fresh • cayenne pepper • cinnamon • Turmeric • 1-14 oz can tomato sauce. • Heavy cream (can substitute yogurt or coconut milk) • Paprika • white sugar – can sub honey • chicken breasts or thighs (I recommend either boneless or have your parents help you debone before class, feel free to message me if you need help!) • curry powder • Salt and pepper Supplies: • Chef’s knife • cutting board • a large skillet or pan and another, can be smaller for the chicken. • Measuring cups and spoons • A small nonstick or stainless-steel pan for toasting spices (optional) • A couple of spatulas or wooden spoons, whichever you have on hand. • Large bowl can also use smaller ones for the mise en place.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental supervision and guidance is recommended as we will be using knives (to cut chicken, mince garlic, and dice onions) as well as potentially a food processor and/or chopper, peeler, can opener, and we will be using the stove top. Possible allergens include dairy. please feel free to reach out to me for more information on substitutions.
