Beginner Level
In this introductory class we will cover: 1) Basic guitar parts and functionality 2) String names and tuning 3) Basic fretting technique (how to press down on the strings) 4) Basic picking technique (how to hold the pick and strike the strings) 5) A simple song to apply what we have learned paired with a tab (guitar notation) so that you can practice and play the song after the lesson has ended

No prior experience required, all you need is a guitar!
Supply List
A guitar (6 string electric or acoustic), a guitar pick, a guitar tuner (clip on tuners are available around $15, or a phone app tuner would work as well)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
