In this introductory class, learners will discover secrets to drawing a caricature of their friends and family in the profile view. We will begin by studying the head in profile view. After establishing the building blocks, each learner will use their selected photo to draw from. I will show them how to draw in a step-by-step process, making it simple and easy for them to follow along regardless of skill level. I have a high-energy teaching style that affords plenty of opportunities for your learner to ask questions and receive feedback on their drawing. During class, learners will be encouraged to share their progress. At the end of class, we will do a show and tell session where learners provide feedback to each other and discuss what they learned and what they would like to learn in future classes. No experience is required. This class covers the basics and will help any learner to improve.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their ability to understand the structure of the head in profile view and learn how to draw a likeness of friends and family in an easy-to-follow step-by-step process.
Other Details
Supply List
A sharpened, pencil, crayon, colored pencil, or any other basic drawing tool. They can also use any digital illustration tool, including Procreate or Photoshop. I will be projecting my digital drawing using Photoshop. However the students can use whatever drawing material they have at their disposal.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
