In this one time class, we will be looking at body language and facial expressions that can be used to gauge that truthfulness of answers, lies in statements and more. These techniques have been used in professional settings by criminologists, therapists, social scientists, investigators and more. We will be looking in detail at movements in posture, facial expressions and eye contact. This class will be presented with a Powerpoint for visual aids to show examples, lecture and discussion as well. No prior knowledge is needed for this class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I am a graduate of Mississippi State University with my Bachelors Degree in Criminology and Sociology. I completed my undergraduate studies in just 3 years and graduated in the top 1% of my college.
I am currently an ESL (English as a Second Language) educator for children between the ages of 3 and 14. I enjoy educating children in English, and I also enjoy sparking an interest in Criminology and Sociology. I love the conversations and ideas that can come from nearly any aspect of Sociology, and I love hearing children's thoughts on each subject.
My approach to learning is to allow students to think about each subject and express those thoughts. If a child can think independently on a topic, he or she has learned far more than if they were only lectures. It is better to talk with a student than talk to them.
In my personal life, I am married. My husband and I have three rescue cats and one rescue dog. I enjoy reading fiction and nonfiction books, reading comics, playing video games and cooking.
