Welcome! In this private lesson, we will practice the most Common questions asked during a school admissions interview or job interview. Topics 1) Body language & facial gestures 2) Storytelling to match target job or school 3) How to minimize weaknesses & increase positives 4) Practice follow-up questions to handle silences or pauses 5) How to research job culture or school mission statements 6) What to do if we don't know an answer 7) Increase confidence & clear communication 8) Understand what questions most likely will be asked ◾ My teaching style is focused on student communication, while offering feedback on how to improve answers. ◾ We will revise answers & practice the same question several times, until the student feels comfortable and confident. Method This is a "Mock interview" class - I pretend to be the interviewer who is asking the Most Common Questions asked during interviews. I will provide the questions during the class and will support students with better answers. Target Learner This class is perfect for any learner practicing how to ace a job interview or a school admissions interview (Beginner - Advanced). Ages 13-18 Sample Questions -Tell me about yourself -Why do you want to attend this school? -Why are you a good fit for this job? -Describe your family -Tell me about your hobbies -What are your goals at this future job/school? -What is your biggest strength? -What is your biggest weakness? -What are your favorite school subjects? -How will you contribute to our school / work community? Class Goals -Practice body language -Develop a relaxed tempo with positive gestures -Pivot off a negative and turn it into a positive -Learn storytelling -Research target school mission statements -Understand target job corporate culture -Customize answers to fit target school / job -Portray confidence *We will also learn how to ask follow-up questions when there is a pause or silence in the interview. Please note: A minimum of 5-8 sessions is best to learn the art of successful interviewing.
