Class experience

US Grade 3 - 4
This class is taught in English.
The 3rd, 4th, & 5th graders enrolled in Quantum Montessori’s Virtual Montessori classroom will learn a wide range of skills and concepts across multiple subject areas. Through the Montessori approach, students will develop their independence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. They will also learn about practical life skills, cultural studies, and how to work with different materials to engage in hands-on learning experiences. The virtual classroom will also place a strong emphasis on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) education, allowing students to explore and create in these fields through hands-on projects and activities. This will help them develop skills such as creativity, collaboration, and innovation.

Through our focus on SEL (social and emotional learning), students will learn how to manage their emotions, build empathy, and develop healthy relationships with others. This will include activities and discussions that promote self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision-making, and social awareness. In terms of literacy, students will receive a well-rounded education through a variety of reading, writing, and language activities. They will also have opportunities to develop their communication skills through presentations, debates, and other interactive projects. Finally, our entrepreneurship focus will teach students about financial literacy, problem-solving, marketing, and product development. They will have the chance to turn their ideas into a business venture and develop important skills that will prepare them for the future. Overall, the 3rd, 4th, & 5th graders enrolled in our virtual Montessori classroom will gain a strong foundation in academic, social, emotional, and practical skills that will set them up for success in their future educational and personal endeavors.
🎉 Message from Ms. Ashleigh Stevens, Quantum Montessori™ founder, an Elementary & Secondary Montessori Guide, and homeschool mom to three children:

Thank you for taking the time to explore our profile. We eagerly anticipate you joining us on your learning journey. I founded the Quantum Montessori Institute with a team of outstanding educators and leaders. I wanted parents to feel empowered to educate their children from home confidently, while also working, running a business, living an RV lifestyle, traveling the world, or simply seeking a hybrid learning environment. My passion for Montessori has led me to work with a diverse group of youths and my aim is to ensure an equitable experience, one that equally prioritizes the wellbeing of not only the child, but also the parents and educators.
Homework Offered
Learners will be provided with a weekly work plan that includes optional homework to reinforce what is taught during our live classes.
2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learners can request a free learning assessment from their educator after enrolling. Families are provided with assessment materials to administer, which will then be uploaded to the classroom tab for your educator to review. To ensure that the learner's needs are met, your educator will create an individualized learning plan following the assessment.
Grades Offered
Instead of traditional letter or number grades, students are evaluated based on their progress and mastery of specific skills and concepts. This allows children to focus on their own personal growth and development, rather than being compared to their peers. Quantum educators in collaboration with home-educators carefully observe and document each child’s progress, providing them with ongoing feedback and guidance for continued improvement. This grading system encourages a growth mindset, where children are motivated to constantly strive for personal excellence and deepen their understanding of various subjects. Through this approach, Quantum Montessori aims to create lifelong learners who are confident and self-motivated.
Quantum Montessori's lessons provide individualized learning, multisensory activities, and STEAM projects to accommodate ADHD and Dyslexia. Trained educators use Montessori principles to foster independence, focus, and positive self-esteem.
