This unique combination of writing and art is a fun and creative way to improve writing skills in your 8-12 year old learner. This class is a part of a series of courses that can be taken in any order. This class is taught in English.
Students will improve their writing skills using small, bite sized writing lessons. Combining writing with art allows students to have fun as they learn. Artistic and written expression will both focus on development of creative confidence.
I have been teaching children in both formal and informal settings for over 30 years and currently teach private and group Art and ELA classes for homeschool students in addition to several Outschool classes and clubs.
Homework Offered
Students will complete a written journal entry to correspond with the the lesson each week. Proofreading and editing skills will be used. This will allow them an opportunity to practice the new skill given in class and to process their thought on the topic discussed.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
