Class Experience
Having been a fiction writer for 33 years now, I love creating worlds from the ground up. As a professional illustrator, having the ability to actual see the layout for what I’ve created adds depth and makes my story richer. I can see my protagonist’s path, the road blocks they have to overcome, places to hide or for the perfect ambush, long traveled roads and new paths blazed. The more senses you can involve in a story, the deeper your reader is immersed, and I’m always up for a good adventure!
Pencil Paper Sketchbook Ruler
2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
I’m a mom myself so I am sensitive to keeping things mainstream and kid-friendly. I’ll use examples of other world maps, fictional and real, but there is no mature content.
