I am an experienced writer, speaker, reader, and teacher. I have a Bachelor's Degree in English with an emphasis in Writing from Azusa Pacific University. Almost immediately after graduation, while working under a New York Times Bestselling Author as a Proofreader, I furthered my education by earning a Certificate in Proofreading from the Editorial Freelance Association. I have poetry, fiction, and non-fiction pieces published in a variety of literary magazines such as Barren Magazine, The Sun, and The Wales Haiku Journal. I've written a myriad of Spoken Word pieces and shared them at weddings, churches, and coffee shops. I've won awards in Impromptu Speaking and Speech Writing. I see writing, not as a tedious task, but as a pathway for understanding and connection with one another. I am well experienced in both in person and remote teaching. I have worked with families in high stress settings for several years. I've taught Hands On English Classes and Trauma Informed Writing Workshops in refugee communities from California to Italy. I've volunteered in classrooms with differently abled students.
