Hello! During this course, we will focus on the following main financial topics: Day 1: Jobs There are so many job opportunities in life! We will talk about jobs you can do as kids! We will discuss how you can start a business (be your own boss) or work for someone else. We will also talk about job opportunities available in the world and which ones may be an interest to you as you get older. We will talk about examining strengths, weaknesses, passions and lifestyle. Students will gain a better understanding of the skill set utilized throughout life. Students will go away from this class with real world knowledge to implement into their own lives.
Individual homework will be assigned at the end of each class. Homework will be based off of the topics of discussion for that class. It should take 10-20 minutes depending on the week.
Students will need access to Microsoft Excel during Day 2 (preferability on a separate screen then Zoom). Students will also need pen and paper for each class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
4 hours 10 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
