I am a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Business/Marketing Education. I am also certified in Middle School Reading and Math. I am energetic, passionate about what I teach, and I understand that a virtual hands on approach is what teens need to learn. Teens will learn the foundation of money management in this summer camp. I will post handouts, a budget worksheet, and we will play Kahoot on the last day of class to show what we have learned. We will practice with real life financial calculators and simulators. We will cover topics such as: Needs and wants Budgets Important purchases Using credit cards Savings accounts and checking accounts How to balance a checkbook How to buy a car Renting Interest rate basics (how to obtain the best interest rates) Credit scores Retirement planning (basics) And more.... My teaching style is fun, energetic and I like my students to lead the discussions and share with each other. We will use online tools as well as worksheets to help us learn. I hope to see you soon! Students do not need any prior knowledge of person finance. We will play games, watch videos, have videos for homework, and do online research. Students will be able to share with each other during each class. I provide a lot of interaction time.
