How to Draw & Paint 'David' With Watercolor Paints | Self-Paced Class

In this class, students will learn how to draw and watercolor paint David from the children's book series 'No, David!' Designed with beginners in mind, this pre-recorded video class is suitable for ages 6-9. Consider using this art class as a story book companion project.

The teaching process used for the drawing portion of this class is a step-by-step method that will inspire students into creative action! This process involves observing, following instructions, and creating until each student is happy with the outcome. 

Students will learn basic drawing and watercolor painting techniques and apply these techniques to complete this project. This art class is designed to give beginner artists the skills they need to jump-start their artistic journey into self-expression, reflection, and creative thinking. 

Supplies and materials needed for this class: 

+watercolor paper
+set of watercolor paints
+paint brush
+black oil pastel or crayon
+small piece of scratch paper (to test paint colors)
+cup of water
+paper towel

Time needed for students to complete this project is approximately 40 minutes. This is a self-paced video class where students may proceed through the art lesson at their own pace. Video may be paused at any time. There will be no live meetings, however, I will be available for questions and gentle encouragement.
