Learners will use graphic organizers to write creative paragraphs on the topic "How To Be A Dragon" while reviewing grammar and spelling. This is a class I WISH I'd had when I was learning how to write in second (2nd) and third (3rd) grade.
Class experience
****Learners should know how to write a complete sentence before attending this class. After a brief introduction to the topic and to each other, the teacher will inspire student writing by sharing pictures of dragons. Then, the first step in procedural writing will be modeled as the group works together to fill out a graphic organizer using the topic, "How to Be A Dragon". Judy taught writing to kindergarten through fourth-grade students in public schools for over thirty years.
