US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 4
Beginner Level
This class serves as an assessment and meet & greet session, where I will evaluate your learner using the DIBELS inventories. The assessment will cover letter-sound recognition, decoding, blending, oral reading fluency, and comprehension. Additionally, I will assess your child's learning style to tailor future lessons accordingly. During this session, I will also take the opportunity to familiarize myself with your child's interests. Based on the assessment, I will recommend a suitable reading learning plan. We will reserve a few minutes at the end of class to discuss scheduling and initial assessment thoughts. A comprehensive and detailed assessment report will be provided within three business days. During our tutoring sessions, I will provide explicit phonics instruction to support emergent readers and struggling readers in their journey to learn reading and spelling. Explicit reading instruction has proven to be beneficial for readers at all levels. Our sessions will involve games, decodable stories, and enjoyable activities that foster learning. We will focus on developing sound recognition, word reading, and spelling skills. The class will be tailored to your child's pace, strengths, and needs. If the listed time and day don't work for you, please inform me, and I will make every effort to accommodate your schedule for our tutoring sessions.
Learning Goals
In the first session, learners will have the opportunity to demonstrate their existing knowledge of phonics and reading skills.
Following the first session, learners will engage in activities focused on acquiring phonetic sounds, applying them in reading and spelling. Additionally, they will develop decoding skills, reading fluency, and comprehension abilities, enabling them to read various grade-appropriate texts.

I am equally passionate about writing and enjoy sharing my love for it with my students.
On Outschool, my classes revolve around Literacy and Early Childhood Education. One of my most sought-after classes is 1-1 tutoring for beginning and struggling readers. Additionally, I offer private tutoring sessions for students who require assistance with reading comprehension, discussing literary elements, writing skills, and spelling. I recently introduced a class designed to prepare Pre-Kindergarten students for Kindergarten, which can be taken either in a group or private setting.
