Class Experience

Beginner - Intermediate Level
This is an ongoing tutoring class that meets once per week.
The skills that the student will practice are:
•	decoding
•	comprehension
•	vocabulary
•	spelling
•	fluency
I use a self-made curriculum with aspects of the Orton Gillingham method.
My classes are enjoyable as I incorporate interactive, age-appropriate games, activities, and rewards. I have made power-points of hundreds of books to use in the classes as well.
Alternatively, classes can be structured to practice or reteach what has been taught in school.
I have been a teacher for many years and have a master's degree in learning disabilities. I love interacting with children and helping them to gain confidence in reading!

Hello!
I am so excited to be a teacher on the Outschool platform. Reading and literature are what I am passionate about. I know what a difference reading can have in a child’s life because all subjects hinge on reading.
My expertise is in:
•	Learning Disabilities/Dyslexia
•	Phonics using the Orton Gillingham method
•	Writing and Spelling
•	Reading Comprehension
•	Over 30 years of teaching experience

I love playing games so I use those to take the stress out of reading. This relaxed setting enables my students
to experience success!
A few fun facts about me: I love animals, anime, and k-pop!
