Survival Stories Class: Learn from Real-Life Survival Experiences (20-Week Course) In this exciting 20-week survival stories course, your student will explore some of the most incredible real-life survival stories. We’ll dive into the harrowing situations these individuals faced and discuss how we would handle similar scenarios differently. Each class will focus on a specific survival story, where I will share the details through a student-friendly lecture, supported by images and short video clips. After each story, we’ll discuss what the survivor did right and wrong, focusing on the skills and strategies they used to survive. Important Note: While we’ll analyze useful survival techniques, this course does not go into detail on how to perform those skills. For example, if we discuss a soldier purifying water by boiling it, we won’t go deep into water purification methods – but don’t worry, I offer a separate class for that. Course Details: Flexible Schedule: The class follows a 20-week rotation, so your student can start anytime without needing to start from week 1. Classes are independent and do not build upon one another. Inspiring Stories: Similar to the "I Survived" book series, but with unique, lesser-known survival stories. Parental Guidance
Although I will NEVER show graphic images or videos, there are some sensitive topics.
1.) We will be discussing scenarios where people have sustained injuries or have come close to death.
2.) There are some stories where people lost a limb
3.) There are stories of combat related injuries involving knives and firearms
4.) Torture will be discussed (very vaugley however) for POW's
5.) With the Holocaust survivors I will not go into very much detail of the atrocities of the Nazi regime.
6.) Overall this is a class on the history of people that have survived life or death situations, so if your student gets scared or anxiety easily hearing about stories like this, this class might not be a good fit.

I am a U.S. Military veteran, former firefighter/first responder, and have been an outdoorsman and survival enthusiast for over 25 years. I have also been in several unfortunate scenarios where I have had to use my survival skills to stay safe and alive, such as experiencing hypothermia, heatstroke, encountering dangerous animals, and sustaining serious injuries.
My training and experience includes:
-U.S. Coast Guard. During my time serving, I participated in many federal law enforcement and search and rescue missions, and was part of a hurricane response team in South Florida.
-I was a Firefighter/Emergency Medical Responder for 10 years.
-I have taught basic first aid, and emergency preparedness to many children, and adults.
-I have had a great deal of training in urban & wilderness survival, survival psychology, critical incident peer support, emergency management, and disaster preparedness.
-I have also been on many wonderful outdoor adventures and had the unique privilege of mentoring under other fellow veterans which include: special operations servicemen, military medics/ corpsman, and combat survival instructors.Reviews
