Homework Support & Practice: Grammar & Writing

Sessions will move at the pace of the student and will focus on areas relevant to student’s current schoolwork. For example, one session might focus on punctuation, another on parts of speech, another on syntax; or, a learner may need to spend multiple weeks covering one topic, focusing on test prep, or editing a paper. Sessions will aim to fully support the learner and increase understanding of grammar concepts relevant to learner’s schoolwork. A set curriculum is not provided; learners will bring relevant topics to each session, and sessions will be based around these. As a teacher, I aim to help students feel comfortable in class through conversation and by expressing genuine interest in learners. I believe building trust and rapport is crucial to fostering a positive learning experience.
