This class is for the learners who can complete their homework mostly independently, but find that they focus better when they are working in a group, with some background noise such as music. In this class we will start by chatting about our homework and share our goals for the day. We will then complete our tasks, checking in periodically to share our progress. At the end of the session we will celebrate our progress and achievements in the session. Please choose homework that you can complete without assistance.
Learning Goals
-Students will set persona goals for their task completion.
-Students will practice public speaking by sharing with peers.

Hello! My name is Sara and I am looking forward to working with your child! I teach Art, History, Science and Math to children who are 6-12 years old. My goal is to create a fun learning environment that focuses on activities, games, and projects that are centered on my student's interests. My teaching style is encouraging and supportive. I am from the United States and I have a master's degree in Special Education from Arizona State University. I am also a certified Lower Elementary Montessori teacher and possess a Bachelor's degree in Art from Greenville University. From 2011-2013 I lived in South Korea and taught English to elementary and middle school students. Additionally, I have worked in Montessori schools for 3 years. I have over 3 years of experience supporting neurodivergent learners. Overall, I have a total of 8 years of experience working with children. I love walking with my dog, reading, and drawing illustrations of flowers, animals and architecture. Currently, I live in the United States. Some fun facts about me are that I know how to create a Nether Portal in Minecraft, my dog is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix and my favorite food is sushi!
