Class Experience

Where did a knight poop? How does an astronaut use the toilet? What did people in the past use as toilet paper? In this regular class, we will look at these questions and more.

The history of poop and toilets is more than just a yucky questions - it can help us understand civilisations from the past. Together, we will look at different primary and secondary sources to examine the history of poop and talk about how poop affected the past and created progress. We'll also look at different professions that dealt with poop.

Students will get the opportunity to look at different images and texts. They will get the opportunity to discuss the sources with each other and begin to draw conclusions from these historical sources.

Each week, we will look at a different period in time and discuss how toilets of the past impacted the people.
