Learning another language is not only learning different words for the same things, but learning another way to think about things. Knowledge of languages is the doorway to wisdom. With languages you are at home anywhere. In this 8-week camp children will be immersed in the Hindi language with a variety of different activities. Each class will cover a different topic entirely in Hindi and provide a fun and enthusiastic environment for children to feel comfortable expressing themselves. Through various activities such as SHOW & TELL, IF I WERE…. etc each child will have an opportunity to speak and share their ideas with the class. The key to children retaining the Hindi vocabulary and dialogue learned is to keep practicing. Week 1 - All About Me We will learn to greet each other, introduce ourselves, start a conversation and share opinions. Week 2 – It’s Family Time We will learn to introduce our family members in Hindi. Here the children will not only learn the terms for Father, Mother, Brother, Sister, Uncle, Aunt etc. in Hindi but will also be introduced to the pronouns and the changes in the sentences depending upon their gender. Week 3 – It’s time to Party While we have lot of fun going to a party, will learn to identify the colors and count in Hindi. Week 4 – Let’s go Picnic While having a fun day at zoo, we learn the names of different animals and also discuss what makes a picnic so much fun. Week 5 - My Body We learn to identify various body parts and how do they help us in our daily lives. Week 6 – Transportation We learn to identify different modes of transport and how we can zoom around the world in them. Week 7 – My Emotions We learn about expressing ourselves when in different moods. Week 8 – What’s in our neighborhood? We learn to talk about our neighborhood, what do we see around? Who are the people who help us in our community etc. This class gives a great opportunity to interact and speak about a variety of things around us and that we do and use in our daily lives. The children will not only enjoy and learn to speak in Hindi but will also learn to express themselves and pick up new vocabulary. Please Note: This class requires a minimum of THREE students in order to proceed. If the minimum enrollment for the class is not met approximately 24 hours before the start time it will be canceled and you will receive a FULL refund. Learning Goals
Children learn to speak in Hindi about a variety of things such as animals, colors, neighborhood etc. They will also learn to count and tell the name of the days in a week in Hindi.

Hello! Welcome to my fun-corner. I have been in the teaching profession for over 10 years now and have passionately fallen in love with it every moment. I have been conducting engaging classes for young learners ranging a wide variety of topics including English (Reading, Writing & Speaking), Life Skills, Environmental/Plant Sciences, Geography, Hindi, Malayalam, Yoga and Art.
I firmly believe that, "Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel." and so my classes are always about 3 I's, Interesting, Interactive and Inspiring.
I focus on classes from a large range of topics that are engaging and cater to every student's needs and interests. My experience as a teacher for over a decade has gifted me with a large toolbox of methods and ideas that I can use to help each student feel comfortable, curious and connected to their learning experiences.
I have always believed in hands on activities which are very interactive, engaging and interesting and that is exactly what you will find in all my classes here.
I am a Post-graduate in English Literature. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Education and a diploma in Aviation, hospitality, travel and tourism. I am a trained Montessori teacher and have taught kids from Kindergarten to Grade-12. I am also a Yoga enthusiast and have been practicing for over a decade.
When I am not teaching, either I am scribbling my thoughts on my blog page, curled up in a corner with an amazing book and a cup of coffee, or you would find me exploring places and doing some fun outdoor activity.
