This is a weekly class for on going private harp lessons. You can use either a lap, lever, celtic or pedal harp.

Homework
2-4 hours per week. Student will be given lesson notes on what to practice during the week. Most often it is the technique and reviewing what is learned during the lesson.Class Experience
Beginner - Intermediate Level
During our harp lessons, we have fun, we play games, boom cards, engaging in fun activities, composing, and learning the music they want to play. My students can expect to learn: music notation, rhythm, proper technique, efficient practice methods, sight-reading, music theory, versatility in different music styles, composing and arranging music, improving interpersonal skills, and gaining confidence in performance, and above all, having fun! I am the solution to those boring music lessons you probably hated growing up! Whether your goal is to learn music for fun or to take a music exam Michelle will help you achieve your musical goals.
Learning Goals

basic harp tuning,
notes names,
note values, rhythm,
body mechanics
proper hand and finger positioning,
foundational playing skills
different harps and musical styles
harp technique,
harp notations
songs and much much more.

I have been teaching harp & piano for the past 25 years privately out of my home.
Michelle received her formal music education at the Trinity Western University, Langley, BC.
I have ABRSM Harp 8 (RCM 10 equivalency). I am currently working on my diploma with Trinity College, London.
She has also studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto, The Associated Boards of the Royal School of Music, London & Trinity College, London.
She is also a member of the BC Registered Music Teachers Association, BCRMTA.
