Class Experience

I teach private one-on-one violin and viola lessons. Each student will be individually tutored in all skills needed
for playing the violin or viola. This will include basic technique, posture, fingering, bowing, note-reading and
basic musicianship skills. The lessons are structured with the Suzuki Violin School books, and other traditional violin pedagogy
etudes and scales. Appropriate pieces, based on students' levels will be used as well. I use explanation and modeling to teach
a topic. The...

Students will learn how to hold the violin/viola and bow properly. They will be coached in the development of sound, technique,
musicality and note-reading. As students advance, they will be coached for musicality and musical phrasing.

Homework Offered
Individual practice is important for progress and students will be coached on how to prepare a weekly practice schedule.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Performances in the lesson and possibly in group class can demonstrate the students' progress.
Grades Offered

Suzuki Violin School (book number is based on the student's level)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
