Homework
1-2 hours per week. Students are expected to practice no less than 15 minutes every other day, although 30 minutes daily is preferred.Assessment
Each individual learns at their own pace so while there are no formal assessments, students will have the opportunity to perform for their peers via Zoom at our student recitals, held every 2-3 months.Class Experience
In our classes you can learn how to play guitar, ukulele, or piano. We will start with the fundamentals of the instrument going over it's parts, seating and hand positions, and how to tune (where applicable). Depending on the students age, ability, and what they wish to learn we may pursue any of the following topics: learning and performing songs/pieces, reading music, composing, or even music theory. Whichever path we choose, we will learn to perform dynamically with proper technique. Materials such as music or videos may be provided by the teacher.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about the instrument of their choice, how to read, understand, interpret, and perform music, technique plus proper seating and hand positions.
Other Details
