Hands-On Science: Pumpkin Pie Slime With Whipped Cream!
You've had pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, and probably even a pumpkin latte- but now you can learn about polymers and make your own pumpkin pie scented slime with vanilla whipped cream slime! A fun and festive way to celebrate fall!

I am a certified chemistry teacher (grades 7-12) with over two decades of experience teaching chemistry and science to all ages- from preschoolers up to adults in classroom and outreach settings. From these experiences, I have worked with a lot of different types of learners at various stages of interest and motivation- from high school students simply taking the class as a requirement to college freshmen chemistry majors passionate about the course with never ending questions. I can tailor my teaching style to fit the learner, and I do what I can to make it approachable by anyone.
1 file available upon enrollmentStudents will need to provide supplies for making slime- a list will be provided after registration. I will provide a handout with instructions for making slime and some extension activities that students can do after class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Some students may need assistance with the hands-on portions of the class as well as with cleanup.
